BGMI App Version 2.8 Now Available for iOS and Android Devices

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), one of the most popular battle royale games in the country, has released a new 2.8 update for mobile gamers across the country. The latest update brings Zombies Edge mode with new locations, challenges, items and more.

According to the company, the Erangel, Miramar, and Livik maps will witness mutant-infested battlefields until November 26, with Aerolith Lab and Outpost as focal points.

How to Download BGMI 2.8 Update for iOS, Android for Free

BGMI 2.8 update is now available for free download for Android and iOS. Go to your app store (Apple App Store for iPhone or Google Play Store for Android) to install the BGMI 2.8 update. Then search for “Battlegrounds Mobile India” or “Battlegrounds India”.

Now tap on “Install” or “Update” option. You can then sign in using your preferred method, such as Google Play Games, Twitter, Facebook or, for iOS users, an Apple ID. Go to the Download section of the game for additional resources and files.

According to BGMI, in the BGMI 2.8 update, Erangel, Miramar, and Livik will witness the attack of infected mutants until November 26. Aerolith Lab and its surrounding areas act as a hotspot during the event, swarming with countless “mutants” to kill, as well as the occasional Berserker and Ripper variant that prove more challenging.

In Aerolith Lab and Outpost in these maps, your goal is to prevent Aerolith from absorbing too many mutants. If it absorbs a lot of mutants, it will summon Rage Berserker, making things more challenging. If you defeat this boss, you will be rewarded with a special box.

The latest update also introduces Mutation Gauntlets, which can be equipped to dramatically improve gameplay. Players can hop on a Maglev Hoverboard that can be obtained from the lab to travel efficiently on both land and sea.

“In October, there is also a surprise coming to celebrate Halloween for those who want to party,” BGMI said. Additionally, Cycle 5 Season 14 will be updated with new content, rewards and cosmetics for you to unlock and enjoy.
